Transparency International (NZ)
Another initiative that Rodger was involved in developing in New Zealand is Transparency International (TI). TI is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, established to counter corruption in international and national business transactions. There are over 60 national chapters of TI worldwide and the New Zealand chapter was established in 1999. TI (NZ) works to:
- Promote transparency, good governance and ethical practices in the public and private sectors in New Zealand;
- Promote ethical business practices by New Zealand business offshore, and transparency and good governance in our region;
- Contribute to the international effort to reduce corruption and promote good governance and ethical business practices.
Transparency International New Zealand (TINZ) is the recognized New Zealand representative of Transparency International. TINZ’s vision is a world in which the institutions of government, politics, business and civil society are built on strong integrity systems and the daily lives of people are free from corruption.
